Brittany Mahomes recently expressed disappointment over an offensive gesture from Buffalo Bills fans aimed at her husband, Patrick Mahomes. The incident took place during a previous game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills.
The mother of three reposted a photo from a past Chiefs-Bills matchup that showed a controversial image. The picture featured a Kermit the Frog puppet dressed in a Mahomes No. 15 jersey, hanging from a crane.
Brittany shared her thoughts on the incident through her Instagram Stories. Amid her celebratory posts on Sunday, as the Kansas City Chiefs secured their third consecutive Super Bowl appearance, she called attention to the disturbing photo.
“Do we remember this, Buffalo?” she wrote alongside the image. “Absolutely disgusting… So as you go home tonight, I pray we become better people.”
The image in question was reportedly taken at a tailgate event in Buffalo during the Chiefs’ last game against the Bills in November.
The puppet in the photo wore a No. 15 jersey and had curly hair, mimicking the NFL quarterback’s appearance. The reference to Kermit the Frog likely stems from fans frequently comparing Patrick Mahomes’ voice to that of the beloved Muppet character.
In another post on her Instagram Stories, Brittany addressed concerns about her husband’s condition.
“Thank you all for your concerns with 15 this season,” she wrote. “See y’all in New Orleans.”
Patrick Mahomes, however, appeared unbothered by the situation. Following the game, he shared a lighthearted meme on social media. The post featured a classic image of Kermit sipping tea, a subtle but humorous response to the ongoing comparisons.
This isn’t the first time Brittany has stood up against fans of opposing teams. She has a history of responding to criticism and celebrating victories with confidence.
Last year, after the Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship, Brittany took to her Instagram Stories to share her thoughts. She posted a photo of herself and Patrick from the post-game celebration, initially shared by her husband, and wrote:
“We went there. We won. Anyone have anything else to say?” She added a smiling emoji and concluded with, “See y’all in Vegas.”
Brittany Mahomes has also formed notable connections off the field, including her growing friendship with Taylor Swift. The two have been seen celebrating Patrick’s victories together, strengthening their bond as prominent figures in the NFL community.
Despite the occasional drama surrounding their family, Brittany and Patrick Mahomes continue to focus on their successes. As the Chiefs prepare for their next challenge, the Mahomes family remains united, with Brittany often taking the lead in addressing any controversy that comes their way.
