In the premiere of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, Mary and Meemaw return, but Missy isn’t with them. A few months have passed since George’s death, and Sheldon’s family in Medford, Texas, is slowly moving forward. For Georgie and Mandy, played by Montana Jordan and Emily Osment, they are adjusting to their new life, living with the McAllisters on the other side of town. While they appreciate Jim and Audrey for helping them with necessities, living under the same roof, especially with Mandy’s demanding mom, Audrey, constantly nagging them, hasn’t been easy.
In episode 1, titled “The 6:10 to Lubbock,” Georgie and Mandy finally reach their breaking point with Audrey’s constant criticisms. Mandy decides to leave, and after some convincing, Georgie agrees to join her. With limited money, they move into a mobile home. Mary and Meemaw visit them and bring along a few items to help make their new place feel more like home. But even though it’s a family visit, Missy is noticeably absent, despite actress Raegan Revord being confirmed for the series.
Missy Still Lives With Mary in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage
Missy, who is still living with Mary after George’s death, hasn’t moved out of the Cooper family home. Mary and Missy are the only ones left in the house now. Sheldon is in Pasadena, California, continuing his post-graduate studies at Caltech, and Meemaw is still with her boyfriend, Dale. This is why Mary suggests that Georgie, Mandy, and Baby Cece can’t move in with her. There is enough space in the house for them, but Missy’s presence complicates things.
It’s also worth noting that Missy has started distancing herself from her family. Ever since she began feeling left out, she’s been pulling away, which might explain why she didn’t join Mary and Meemaw in visiting Georgie and Mandy. It’s possible Missy was busy with schoolwork or other activities, and her strained relationship with Mary likely contributed to her skipping the family visit.
Missy Will Return in Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Episode 2
Although Missy didn’t appear in the premiere, fans can look forward to her return in episode 2, titled “Some New York Nonsense,” airing on October 24. Raegan Revord’s return as Missy has been confirmed, and she will make an appearance in this episode. While it’s disappointing that she wasn’t part of the family reunion in the premiere, her appearance in the next episode hints at a more significant role.
Missy and Georgie are set to reunite, and fans will finally get to see them on-screen together again. This could be an important moment for the Cooper family, especially after all the changes they’ve been through.
